School Boy

A Miami high school senior was arrested for allegedly hacking into his school's computer system and changing his grades and those of his four classmates.

Jose Bautista, 18, was arrested Thursday on multiple charges after he confessed his actions to his school principal, reports CBS Miami.

The student was scheduled to graduate at the end of the month but now faces 20 years in prison, the station reports.

Bautista allegedly offered to change the grades for several classmates at the beginning of the year in February, the station reports. He was released to his home and will wear a GPS monitoring device.

The Miami-Dade school district released a statement stating they take this incident seriously and the involved students could face expulsion.
